Weaverham is celebrating the Coronation with free events and a Churches Together Service in the Community Centre. Its a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together.
Friday 5 May
7.30-9.30pm: An evening of Jazz at the Community Centre with the Bus Stop Quartet and a glass of wine and canapes. At 9.30 we will proceed to Lakehouse Field…
9.45pm Lighting of the Beacon, Lakehouse Field
Saturday 6 May
11am – 3pm: Family Fun Day, with a British Seaside theme
- Swing boats, surf simulator, sand, candy floss, deck chairs, coconut shy, ‘test of strength’, hoopla, etc.
- Free luncheon grab bags in the Community Centre
- Live screening of the Coronation on Lakehouse field and in the Community Centre
7pm: Party in the Park: bring your own food and drinks, set up your own table or bring a picnic rug. Enjoy the staged music.
10pm: Coronation Fireworks Display
Sunday 7 May
11am: Church Together Coronation Service, in the Community Centre
2pm: Outdoor Cinema – Lion King and Mamma Mia.
