People were dancing in the aisles at the big band concert at St Mary’s Church on Saturday 10th Feb 2024!
Manchester based Sweet Rhythm Big Band made their debut performance at St Mary’s, with a theme of ‘All you need is Love’. Having previously performed at the Concorde Hangar, Manchester Airport, at Chester Zoo and other events across the Northwest, we were delighted to welcome them to Weaverham!
There was no charge for the concert! BUT asked for donations for St Mary’s Raising the Roof, our fund for work which needs to be carried out to make our lovely Grade 1 listed building fit for the future.
Including Gift Aid, we raised approximately £1000. Thank you everyone, especially the band.
